NEXT GIG - Saturday 1st June - The Honest Lawyer, Harrogate
So again, it's all been going on in the Big Wheel camp. Dan has officially left. He said it was because of what was put on the site. The thing is, if he had actually showed up at some point, then we would have told him the same.
Now we never meant to upset anyone, or to force anyone out the band. But what was posted up here was what we thought. This has nothing to do with Dan's private life. I mean, who can't ignore the fact the guy's got troubles, there's no doubt, but that's got nothing to do with it. If he was going to pull out of the last gig, it'd have been nice to know a at some point before the penultimate day.
Now there's also messages on the message boards telling me to not be so harsh to him on here. That's rubbish. My private life has nothing to do with the band or my commitment to it, neither should anyone else's. Now if someone has a problem and can't make a gig then fine, I'm not going to throw dolly out the pram about it, but it'd be nice to have it organised in advance.
So Dan's out, Stu's under fire because of it, Aid and Ian are just, well, Aid and Ian.
Everyone in the world has problems. Some more than others, but there's a limit to how much sympathy you can drag out of them...
